Audiobooks are the fastest growing segment of the publishing industry. How do independent authors take advantage? If you hold the audio rights to your publications, and even if you don't, find out how to get your book recorded by a professional narrator and distributed on Audible.com, for little or no cost. These days, not exploiting the audiobook advantage can mean leaving money on the table.

Petrea Burchard is an author, editor, voice actor, and audiobook narrator. Her voice acting career spans over 25 years, during which she has worked in various media from commercials (16 years as the TV and radio voice of Stater Bros. Markets) to radio plays ("'Repent, Harlequin,' Said the Ticktockman" opposite Robin Williams) to anime (the voice of Ryoko the Space Pirate in the anime classic, Tenchi Muyo!). Petrea began producing and narrating audiobooks in 2017, and has so far completed six audiobooks. She's currently producing two more, and is contracted for several additional audiobooks.

SGVWW meets monthly, usually on the third Saturdays, to network and learn about a different topic related to writing and publishing. Please come early so you can get breakfast before starting time, and RSVP so we can save you a seat.
