Paradise Canyon Elementary School in La Canada Flintridge hosts Family Reading night with local author Heather Artura, who shares her book Mystery in Sentence City, for ages pre-K - 4th grade.

Ms. Oxford's students are writing sentences about bugs, but she soon discovers that in each sentence something is missing. How can they track down something that isn't there? The class calls on their friend, Officer Wiserman, to help them solve the mystery. With the help of his canine partner, Henry the Grammar Hound, the class takes a trip to Sentence City. In this engaging adventure, children will learn the first three rules of writing a a sentence by following Edward, Madison and Zoe, as the Grammar Hound leads them from clue to clue.
