Saken’s book takes the reader on a life journey, beginning with lemonade stands and restaurants in her backyard growing up. Through a series of circumstances, some chosen, some out of necessity, the obvious way to earn a living was through a talent for cooking and entertaining, although not classically trained.

The many stops include tried and true recipes handed down from her mother-in-law, the most popular themed menus and recipes from her catering days, those most requested breakfast offerings from Pine View House; her Bed and Breakfast located in the mountain of The Angeles National Forest and, lastly the Comfort Food recipes she prepared for her favorite CEO that warms the stomach as well as your heart.

Sharing interesting stories and insights, along with delicious and easy to follow recipes will tempt the palette as well as discover the many ways to tap into your own natural talent whatever it may be.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Norma Saken currently lives in Palm Desert, CA with her fur baby, Spanky; always enjoying visits from family and friends.
