Darcy the dog loves his humans and the other pets in the house, but he really wants a best friend. He tries playing with the hamster, but ends up scaring him. He tries playing with the cat, but that never ends well. He thinks he’s found it when his family fosters kittens, and he’s so sad when the kittens find their forever homes. Darcy thinks he’ll never find his friend. But when Christmas comes this year… he might just get the best present ever.

As a documentary TV producer and editor Karin Hoving has cuddled with baby chimps, helped excavate dinosaur bones, and filmed at an active volcano. She’s pursued giant tarantulas in the Amazon, wrangled a robot competition in Sweden, and herded giant tortoises in the Galápagos Islands. She has been nominated for two prime time EMMY awards. Darcy and Daisy: The Christmas Puppy is her first children’s book.
