Teddy Macker’s poems, short stories, essays, and translations appear in the Antioch Review, Orion, Resurgence & Ecologist (UK), The Massachusetts Review, The Sun, Tin House, and various anthologies. In 2007 and 2008 he served as the Reginald S. Tickner Creative Writing Fellow of the Gilman School in Baltimore. His first book of poetry—This World (foreword by Brother David Steindl-Rast)—appeared in March of 2015 through White Cloud Press. A lecturer at UC Santa Barbara, he lives with his wife and daughters on a small farm in the foothills of Carpinteria, California.
Alexandra Umlas is the author of the full-length poetry collection At the Table of the Unknown (Moon Tide Press). You can find her work in Rattle, Poetry Super Highway, and Cultural Weekly, among others. She serves as a reader for Palette Poetry and on the board of directors of Tebot Bach, a non-profit literary organization. Recently, she graduated from the M.F.A. Poetry program at California State University, Long Beach. Before becoming a poet, Alex taught middle school and high school English, earning an M.Ed. in Cross-cultural Education.
