FAMILY READING NIGHT
An evening for the Paradise Canyon Elementary School Community:
With an extensive career in both animation and children's literature, Chris uses his strengths as a story artist to his benefit when he's writing and illustrating picture books. He has been published by Simon & Schuster, Random House, Scholastic, Chronicle Books, Bloomsbury, Sterling, and Xist Publishing.
Chris's whimsical cartoon style feels light-hearted and carefree which seems to perfectly match his humorous writing style. He lives in Pasadena with his wife and three boys.
In “If I Didn’t Have You,” a father and son discuss the variety of outlandish items they might have if not for the other in this funny and heartfelt look at the appreciation we have for our families.
In the mischievously funny “Giraffes Ruin Everything” picture book with audio, friends come in all shapes and sizes.
In case you were wondering, here's an incomplete list of things giraffes ruin:
- Birthday parties
- Going to the movies
- Playing at the park
- Hide and Seek
- Everything else
Yes, that's right. Giraffes ruin everything.
But what happens when our narrator gets into a tricky situation? Perhaps he'll find giraffes aren't so bad after all . . .
